Tartan & Rose Lattes

May 26, 2016

One of my favourite things to do is to wander around London, especially one of my favourite London locations, Notting Hill. Theres just something magical about wandering around the Notting Hill streets lined by pastel coloured houses (and searching for Hugh Grant…!)

As the sun was shining it gave me the perfect excuse to get my legs out and wear my new tartan playsuit. After spending most of my secondary school life being forced to wear a tartan kilt I’ve previously shied away from any tartan trends, but when I spotted this cute playsuit I fell in love. I paired the playsuit with a suede tasseled jacket and a pair of nude platform brogues . I bought these brogues after longing for the Stella McCartney Star Eylse Shoes, but deciding better of it for the sake of both my bank account and neck. And although the platform on these brogues are nowhere near as high, it means I can wear them casually everyday.

After wondering around all my favourite shops it was time for a much needed lunch break. Having stalked out the Farm Girl Café on Instagram for months, this Australian inspired healthy restaurant has been on my bucket list for ages! The café is tucked away in the most adorable courtyard off Portobello Road. Due to the café being not overly big and extremely popular we opted to go during the week as there is apparently often a queue on the weekends. However, after visiting I can safely say that the wait would definitely be worth it.

I was spoilt for choice when looking at the menu. They have all my favourite brunch options, including avocado toast, which is done with lemon juice, black pepper, coriander and a sprinkle of pomegranate on sourdough, which I enjoyed with a side of a poached egg on top. They even have a delicious selection of drinks, both hot and cold. I chose the rose latte, adorned with delicate pink rose petals. This was the most beautiful and photogenic coffee I’ve ever had, literally everyone who ordered one couldn’t resist snapping a picture for instagram! After our mains we decided to share an acai bowl topped with banana, chia seeds, goji berries, coconut shavings, almond butter and granola! Yum!

I’ll definitely be making a visit to Farm Girl again soon, there’s so much on the menu I still need to try!
