Makeup Haul

July 3, 2016

I absolute love nothing more than buying and trying out new makeup, I could honestly spend hours looking at makeup in good beauty shops and concessions. The below products are at the forefront of my makeup bag and are my go to items that I couldn’t live without.

BECCA | Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette

This is a very new addition to my makeup bag but I love it already. The palette includes two highlighters and three blushes. I’d used a Becca highlighter before and loved it, so when I heard about the limited addition face palette I was dying to get my hands on one. The colours are great for the summer and would really work well with a tan. I managed to grab the last one in the St Johns Wood Space NK branch so if you want one you better move quick, its definitely a must have palette for the summer months.

CHANTECAILLE | Future Skin Foundation

First things first, I know this may seem a lot of money to spend on a foundation but the pot honestly lasts for months, and is without a doubt the best foundation I’ve ever used. Literally nothing even comes close. It gives the most flawless and natural finish without even looking like you’re wearing much makeup. It’s also super easy to build up for heavier coverage, while avoiding that caked in makeup look. And not only that, it also contains ingredients that will actually help your skin unlike most foundations. It really was no surprise to me that it was the winner of InStyle’s 2016 Best Beauty Buys.

CHANTECAILLE | Faux Cils Mascara

I’ve tried a lot of mascaras but this one beats them all. Now a days I cant even bring myself to try any others as I know they just won’t compare. It both lengthens and curls without creating any clumps and lasts the whole day. I always get complements on the length of my eyelashes when I’m wearing this product.

This is my absolute go to lip stick in either ‘geranium’ for a more day look, or ‘amore’ for an evening glam look. Unlike most lip sticks It leaves a glossy finish instead of a dry matt finish. However, although its glossy it isn’t sticky. An absolute win win for me!

CHANTECAILLE | Le Stylo Ultra Slim Eyeliner In Black

If you’re like me and have tried for years to find the perfect liquid eyeliner that is easy to use, and creates the perfect winged look, but at the same time not wanting it to look too heavy, this is the product for you! It’s saved me from many liquid eyeliner disasters!

HOURGLASS | Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil

I hate the heavy eyebrow look. Always have, always will. However, this brow pencil is great as it doesn’t look too heavy when applied, instead creating a soft and natural look. The pencil also has a unique triangular shape tip which is great for creating the perfect brow shape and arch.

HOURGLASS | Illume Sheer Color Trio

I probably don’t use this product to its full potental as I only use the bronzer part of the palette, but it is honestly my go-to bronzer when I’ve got a tan. Its creamy consistency makes it really easy to apply and blend. When I’m on holiday I just pop this on and it gives the best bronzed glow, and provides just enough coverage for the evening.

KEVYN AUCOIN | The Essential Eye Shadow Palette

This was in my stocking this Christmas and has turned into my favourite eye shadow palette. The colours are all fab and its so easy to use, I just pop a couple of the colours on before going out at night for an instant glammed up look.

Whenever I’ve had a few late nights this is an absolute god send. I just pop a tiny amount under my eye and I look half human again! It doesn’t cake or pile up too like most under eye products.

NARS | Orgasm Blush

This is an oldie but a goodie. This blush has been a staple in my makeup bag for as long as I can remember. It provides a natural, healthy-looking colour which suits all skin types. And yep, you may feel slightly awkward standing at the makeup counter requesting for the shade ‘Orgasm’, however it is totally worth it.
