Protein smoothies are a staple in my diet. I find they are one of the most convenient ways to get in my morning meal when I’m in a rush. Whether its a simple high protein post workout shake or an energising breakfast blend. Here is my favourite breakfast smoothie at the moment which I have most days. Unlike some smoothies this one is filled with lots of healthy fats and protein which will keep you going till lunch. It also tastes delicious (if I do say so myself).
– 200ml of coconut water
-1 scoop of vanilla protein
-Half an apple cut up into pieces
-20g of flaxseeds
-25g of almond butter
-1 handful of spinach
Start by pouring the coconut water and a scoop of protein into your blender and blend. Then add the rest of the ingredients and blend until desired smoothness. It’s as simple as that! A nutritious and filling breakfast in under 5 minutes.
